Nigeria Railway Corporation Announces Resumption Of Services On Ujevwu-Itakpe Corridor

THE Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) has confirmed the reinstatement of scheduled train services along the Ujevwu-Itakpe Corridor.

The announcement was made in an official statement issued by the corporation’s Customer Service Unit, WITS, NRC.

The statement expressed the corporation’s regret for the recent suspension of services: “The NRC sincerely apologises for the disruption to our services and extends its gratitude to the public for their patience and understanding. We have greatly missed serving our passengers.”

Services are set to recommence according to the following schedule: Wednesday, 28th January 2026: Departure from Ujevwu Station at 08:00 hours, arriving at Itakpe Station; Thursday, 29th January 2026: Departure from Itakpe Station at 12:00 hours, returning to Ujevwu Station.

Regular scheduled services will continue thereafter.

Passengers are advised that the e-ticket booking platform will be accessible from midnight today to facilitate advance reservations.

“The Nigeria Railway Corporation thanks the public for their continued support and looks forward to welcoming passengers back on board,” the statement concluded.
