Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was at the 60th anniversary for his first Convocation Lecture at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) where, in his usual eruditive elements, made profound remarks that awed his entire listeners.
The Ikenne-born Professor of Law and former Attorney General of Lagos State, dropped these remarks on his official Facebook handle which he titled “OAU; Celebrating a True Diamond at 60.”
“Part of the strategic objectives of the recently approved National Development Plan (NDP) include establishing a strong foundation for a diversified economy, investing in critical infrastructure, power and broadband, enabling human capital development, and ultimately improving governance.
“For years, the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has housed triumphs of human endeavour, the primacy of groundbreaking ideas, the creative force of the introspective mind, and the power of ingenious vision.
“The examples of this greatness abound, and are lived through the stories of the institution itself and many of incredible successes of its alumni, the latest of whom we celebrate today.
“Additionally, this greatness of Ife is not unconnected to the far-sightedness of her faculties and its embrace of cutting edge innovation to become the incubation port of tomorrow’s solutions, and in these, the strategic objectives of the NDP find home.
“May God bless the next 60 years of Great Ife!” Osinbajo, who’s a Senior Pastor in RCCG, enthused.
