OPERATIVES of the Nigeria Police, Delta State Command, have arrested a wanted imposter and suspected attempted murderer, Christopher Odiakaose.
Stonix News reports that Christopher Odiakaose, also known as Big Fish, was declared wanted some weeks ago over some crimes bordering on parading himself as traditional ruler of Otulu-Ogu brigandage and attempted murder.
Big Fish has been declared as a potential threat to the peace of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom allegedly working hand in hand with outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB) to cause mayhem in the area.
He was reportedly arrested, charged and remanded in Ogwashi-Uku prison on Tuesday over charges bordering on attempted murder.
It will be recalled also that Odiakaose has been the subject of numerous complaints and petitions to the Delta State Police and government.
Reliable sources said Odiakaose was arrested in Agbor, with other accomplices planning to rob an old generation bank.
After arrest, he was reportedly transferred to the police headquarters in Asaba for interrogation and thereafter charged and remanded on Tuesday.
Operatives of the Delta State Police Command are said to be on the trail of other members of the criminal gang suspected to be members of IPoB.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, has confirmed the arrest, detention and remand of Odiakaose.
“He was charged with a case of attempted murder and remanded in Ogwashi-Uku prisons,” he noted.
