The Nigerian Senate, on Wednesday, confirmed the nomination of all the seven minister-designates forwarded to it by President Bola Tinubu.
Stonix News reports that at the Plenary on Wednesday, the nominees, after submitting all their credentials and other documents, were admitted into the chamber for screening.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, who chaired the session, said the exercise was approved by the committee of whole, adding that the Senate would be thorough in its constitutional duties.
The nominees were, thereafter, screened one after the other, with Senators asking probing questions to ascertain the competence of the nominees.
At the end of the exercise, the Senate President, Akpabio, subjected the outcome of the exercise to the approval of the House.
The nomination of all the nominees were, thereafter, approved by the Senators.
The Senate President congratulated all the nominees for the success of the exercise and urged them to put in their best for the benefit of all Nigerians.
The seven ministerial nominees forwarded to the Senate for confirmation by President Bola Tinubu last week were: Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi , Minister of Labour and Employment and Bianca Odinaka Odumegu – Ojukwu, Minister of State, Foreign Affairs .
Others were Dr Jumoke Oduwole , Minister of Industry , Trade and Development , Idi Muktar Maiha , Minister of Livestock Development , Rt Hon Yusuf Abdullahi Ata , Minister of State, Housing and Dr Suwaiba Said Ahmad , Minister of State, Education.
