Son of Col Suleiman Ahmodu Babanawa (rtd), Lieutenant Ibrahim Suleiman was among officers killed in an ambush laid by suspected terrorists in Abuja.
The identity of the second officer killed is Captain Samuel Attah.
Both Lieut. Suleiman and Cap. Attah were indigenes of Okpo in Olamaboro Local Government Area and Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State respectively.
Stonix News had reported that the terrorists laid ambush on the Guards of Brigade in Bwari on Sunday 24 July 2022 while returning from the Nigeria Law School in Bwari where they had gone to respond to a distress call from the school management.
The two officers were killed while several soldiers reportedly sustained injuries during the ambush.
Meanwhile, former Senator Shehu Sani, on Tuesday commiserated with Col. Suleiman who lost his son to the ambush.
Sani wrote on his Twitter handle this: “Jauro Ibrahim Suleiman; One (of) the casualty of the aftermath of the terrorists attack in Abuja yesterday. We appreciate your life of service and sacrifice.
