Suspect Who Stabbed Six At Train Station Alive

A suspect who was shot several times by the police after stabbing six people at the Gare Du Nord train station in Paris on Wednesday morning, 4th of January, is alive, authorities revealed.

According to a tweet from the country’s Interior Minister, Gerald Darmanin, the French police operatives were applauded for their effective and courageous response in neutralising the attacker.

“An individual injured several people this morning at the Gare Du Nord. He was quickly neutralized.

“Thank you to the police for their effective and courageous response,” he tweeted

Stonix News learnt that the six injured persons, alongside the attacker who had several bullet wounds, were all taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Paris Prosecutor’s Office statement goes thus:

“I confirm that an investigation has been opened by the Paris Prosecutor’s Office.

“The investigations were entrusted to the judicial police. The provisional assessment is 6 people injured including one in absolute emergency.

“The suspect was hospitalized after being shot several times by police. His vital prognosis is engaged.”

Gare Du Nord train station in Paris is one of the biggest and busiest stations in Europe.

It serves the northern suburbs of Paris and is a terminus on the London to Paris Channel Tunnel route.
