Suspected Boko Haram Kill Over 60 Farmers, Several Others Missing In Maiduguri

Suspected Boko Haram members have raided Rann town, the headquarters of Kala – Balge Local Government Area of of Borno State, killing over 60 farmers.

A witness said besides the body of the dead riddled with pellets, several of the villagers also sustained bullet wounds, just as he said several farmers were still missing.

The deceased were given a mass burial on Monday according to Islamic injunction, the source added.

“The Boko Haram terrorists on motorcycles armed with guns and machetes surrounded their farms and started killing them one by one.

“Over 50 people were buried in Rann on Monday. As it is this morning, more dead bodies have been found; the death toll is over 60 now,” a villager narrated.

Stonix News recall that Boko Haram had, in recent times, killed several farmers, one of which was the 2020 killing of 43 farmers in Zabarmari village in Borno State.

Security agencies are yet to react to the latest massacre.
