Tantita Challenges Communication Experts To Tackle Oil Theft

Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has called on communication scholars and professionals to lend their expertise to the fight against crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism in Nigeria.

At the 12th Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), held on 3–4 September in Effurun, Delta State, Capt. Waredi Enisuoh, Executive Director of Operations and Technical at Tantita, described oil theft as a devastating form of corruption undermining national revenue and community development.

Enisuoh said the media and communication professionals could play a vital role in shaping public perception, exposing criminal syndicates, and promoting transparency in the oil sector.

He also reviewed Tantita’s efforts in partnership with security agencies and host communities, noting a significant reduction in crude theft, pipeline vandalism and illegal bunkering across the Niger Delta.

Commending ACSPN’s focus on corruption, governance and media, Enisuoh urged the association to expand its research and advocacy to cover the dangers of oil theft.

He assured that Tantita would continue to collaborate with stakeholders to secure Nigeria’s oil assets.
