IN a heartfelt message, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has extended its condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Military, and the family of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.
The statement, released by the company’s chairman, High Chief Dr Government Ekpemupolo, acknowledged the General’s contributions to national security, particularly in the Niger Delta.
Lt. General Lagbaja, whose recent passing has saddened the nation, played a vital role in safeguarding Nigeria’s oil and gas assets, said Ekpemupolo.

Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo
The Niger Delta region has long been a focal point of security efforts, and Tantita Security, as a key stakeholder in protecting these resources, shared a close working relationship with the late General.
Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, recognised Lagbaja’s “support and cooperation” in the collaborative efforts to protect the Niger Delta’s oil and gas resources.
“His contributions are well-known to industry players and respected by many,” the statement added, reflecting on the impact of the General’s efforts within Nigeria’s security and energy sectors.
As Nigeria mourns this significant loss, Ekpemupolo, who’s the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, expressed hope that “the good Lord” would provide strength and comfort to President Tinubu, the Nigerian Armed Forces, and the General’s family during this difficult time.
The statement underscored the emotional impact on those who had worked with him, noting that he would be missed by many.
The death of Lt. General Lagbaja marks a poignant moment for Nigeria, particularly for those engaged in the nation’s security and energy industries.
His dedication, remembered by Tantita Security and many others, serves as a testament to his lifelong commitment to the country’s stability and progress.
Lt Col Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja passed on Tuesday after a brief, but devastating ill-health in a Lagos hospital.
