By A teacher, Mr. Timothy Alayoteti, with the Federal Government Girls College, Oyo, has allegedly defiled a female pupil.
As a result, the family of the 14-year-old pupil is demanding justice over the incident.
An elder sister of the victim, Mercy Gabriel, said at a press briefing in Ibadan, that her sister had been traumatized as a result of the action of the teacher.
The sister said the family was more pained by the action of the principal of the school, whom, she claimed, did nothing to expose the accused teacher after the case was reported to her.
According to her, the victim came home with her siblings, but was moody, stressing that she refused to disclosed what happened to her.
She added that a month after the incident, it became obvious how Mr Alayoteti allegedly molested and raped her.
Mercy disclosed that she was surprised when the principal of the school said the incident was just a mere rumour, adding that no legal action was taken until the incident was reported to the police in Oyo.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Adewale Osifeso, when contacted, said the police has commenced investigation on the matter.
He promised to provide updates on the incident.
