Two Bandits Die While Trying To Detonate Bomb On Oil Firm In Imo

TRAGEDY was averted by Providence as two bandits allegedly died while attempting to detonate a bomb on ADAS Oil Firm in Izombe community of Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.

The incident was disclosed on Wednesday the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Michael Abattam, in a statement.

He said the incident occurred when some fierce-looking youths stormed the community armed with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to wreak havoc.

He alleged that the intention of the hoodlums was to bomb the oil firm in the community, but failed in the process.

According to him, the explosives they were carrying detonated on them leading to their instant death.

Abattam has, however, assured of more detailed information on the matter, saying the Commissioner of Police in the state had ordered full investigation to unravel the mystery behind the dastardly act.
