SHORTLY after the passing of the Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc and Group Managing Director of Access Bank Plc, Dr Herbert Wigwe, his wife and son in a tragic helicopter crash in the USA, compassionate General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, paid a condolence visit to parents of the deceased, Pastor and Mrs Shyngle Wigwe, in their residence.
Stonix News reports that Wigwe, his wife Doreen, and their son Chizi, passed in a helicopter crash in the United States on Friday, February 9, 2024.
The former head of the Nigeria Stock Exchange, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, was also killed in the air mishap.
The United States authorities had told them that preliminary reports suggested that a wintry weather condition contributed to the crash.
Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe are said to be members of the RCCG, City of David, Lagos.
A post on Adeboye’s verified Facebook page on Friday February 17, reads: “In heartfelt solidarity, a visit filled with warmth offering condolences to Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe on the loss of their beloved son, his wife and grandson who passed away over the weekend.
“May his memory be a source of comfort in these difficult times to the family and RCCG City of David Family in Jesus name,” the post read.
For a man of God, who himself, had suffered the loss of a dear son to the cold hands of death, Adeboye’s swift visit was adjudged as a timely soothing balm to the aching hearts of Wigwe’s parents.
