Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

No fewer than 19 Covid-19 positive patients have been confirmed cured by the herbal drug produced by the Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), Ado Ekiti and approved by the National Agency for Food Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

The heart-warming news was disclosed by the founder of the university, Aare Afe Babalola, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, during a ceremony commemorating the 12th anniversary of the institution.

The erudite lawyer further disclosed that the number of people being cured by the herbal drug is increasing by the day since NAFDAC approved the drug a few weeks ago.

Aare Babalola further noted that the research department of the university, over the years, has been churning out new meaningful discoveries aimed at solving the socio-economic challenges of the country.

He added that he conceived the institution in 2010 to contribute to the nation’s educational development in the area of research, teaching and community service.

“I am happy that I conceived this university 12 years ago and since then, we have been going from strength to strength, making exploits in all our endeavors.

“Our vision is to make this place a great institution in the university education in the country in teaching, research and community service.

“I can confirm to you today that our herbal drug, produced through extensive research by our team of researchers, has healed about 19 patients who contracted Covid-19 pandemic.

“They were healed perfectly less than five days of usage; that tells you the level of our research in ABUAD,” he enthused.
