5-Month-Old Baby Abducted From Mother In Delta

A five-month-old baby has been abducted in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The abominable incident has, inadvertently, thrown the residents of Egbule Kayode, Abio Street and environ in bewilderment.

The baby was reportedly kidnapped last weekend by unknown gunmen.

Sources said a woman and her baby were in her chemist shop when the kidnapper struck.

A man was said to have entered into the woman’s shop, pretending to be a patient needing treatment, but suddenly pointed a gun at the woman.

At gunpoint, he grabbed the woman’s baby, snatched her mobile phone and bolted into a near-by bush amid heavy rains.

Mother of the woman was said to have raised the alarm, but the inclement weather prevented neighbors from hearing her cries.

Several security operatives later stormed the area and searched the area, but could find the kidnapper or the baby.

Sources close to men of the Nigerian Police in Agbor revealed that the alleged kidnapper has used the woman’s phone to call the family that their baby is with him.

Operatives of the Delta Police Command is said to have commenced a manhunt for the missing baby.
