FOLLOWING his abduction, a fundraising drive to mop up N50 million ransom for the release of Professor Adigun Agbaje has begun.
Stonix News had reported that the Professor of Political Science was abducted by gunmen on Friday evening near Ibadan old toll gate of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
A statement on the Facebook timeline of the Official Group of the Students Union, University of Ibadan, posted the details of the fundraising appeal.
The post has a firstbank account details and Prof. E. Remi Aiyede, Ag HoD Political Science UI, attached to it.
Abductors of the erudite scholar had, after making a contact with the family of the professor, requested N50 million as ransom for his release.
The post on the Facebook timeline reads thus:
“Please the fund raising to support the effort to procure the release of Prof Agbaje has commenced.
“All contributions should be paid to First Bank account no 2004429197.
“Prof. E. Remi Aiyede Ag HoD Political Science UI. Thank you.”
