A doctor who was accused of fatally poisoning his wife, has been indicted and charges against him upgraded to first-degree murder by a grand jury in Minnesota.
Recall that Dr. Connor Bowman, 30, was arrested in October 2023 and charged with second-degree murder linked to the death of his wife, Betty Bowman.

According to reports, Betty was 32 years old when she died just four days after admitted to a hospital.
Stonix News gathered that investigators collected evidence that indicated Connor Bowman may have given Betty Bowman a drug for an ailment she did not have.
In mid-August, according to a criminal complaint filed against Connor Bowman, she was admitted to the hospital with symptoms of diarrhea and dehydration. She later suffered cardiac issues, fluid in her lungs and organ failure.
During investigations after her death, police learned the couple was having marital problems and that Connor Bowman told a friend he would get a big life insurance payout because of his wife’s death.
A statement from Olmsted County Attorney’s Office on Friday confirmed that the charges against him was upgraded to first-degree murder, premeditated and with intent, by a county grand jury.
As of Tuesday Jan. 9, 2024, Connor Bowman remained at the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center. He faces a possible sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted of first-degree murder.
He will be arraigned Jan. 16.
