THE Lagos State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation of a homicide case reported at Oko-Oba Division, apprehending the prime suspect.
On March 29, 2025, the police received a report of an unidentified man found dead at a service apartment in Abule-Egba.

Investigations revealed that the suspect, a woman, had rented the apartment with the victim and later fled with his car and valuables.
At the crime scene, police recovered an empty syringe, malt drink cans, and water bottles. The victim’s body was taken to LASUTH mortuary for autopsy.
After an intensive investigation, operatives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) arrested the suspect, Adeola Adewale, 35, in the Oko-Oba area. She confessed to poisoning the victim, Adebayo, 65, using a malt drink laced with a toxic substance.
The suspect is in custody, and investigations are ongoing to uncover more details.
The police have also recovered the victim’s vehicle, which was being sold.
