Operatives Arrest 3 Suspected Cultists

Operatives of Delta State Command have arrested three suspected cultists and criminal suspects in Warri, Delta State.

The suspects were arrested during a stop-and-search by operatives attached to the Quick Response Squad along Pessu Corner on Friday, August 8, 2022.

A statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP), Bright Edafe, gave the name of the suspects as Chukwuma Owoh ‘m’ 26, Ediri Ogendengbe ‘m’ 32, and Alfred Kess ‘m’ age 38.

Upon their arrest, one locally made cut-to-size gun and four live Cartridges were recovered from them.

One of the suspects, Chukwuma Owoh confessed that he bought the gun from one Haruna of Hausa market Warri and that he was on his way to Pessu in search of some Aiye confraternity cult members that attacked his younger sister.

The statement also stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali while admonishing the men of the force to be polite and civil with the public also prompted them to sustain the tempo with which they are curbing criminality in the state.
