AGAIN, the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd (TSSNL), a company owned by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, has uncovered an illegal export crude oil pipeline attached to Trans Forcados Export Trunkline.
Oil thieves, through the illegal pipeline had cleverly welded the pipeline to the export trunkline and siphoning crude oil to the high seas for export.
Stonix News, which was at the scene on Saturday at the instance of the officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL), reports that the Forcados export trunkline produces 400,000 barrel of crude oil per day for export.
The discovery, which is coming few days after an illegal four kilometre crude oil pipeline belonging to Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) was exposed, was made about a week ago by operatives of TSSNL through an exclusive Intel.
The illegal pipeline is obviously another point through which Nigeria’s oil-dependent economic had been bleeding in recent times.
Chief Keston Pondi, Managing Director, TSSNL, Captain Waredi Enisuoh, a marine intelligence consultant for TSSNL and media consultant to Tompolo, Dr Paul Bebenimibo, among others witnessed the visitation of officials of NNPCL led by General Manager, Gas Development Division, NAPIMS, Mr. Buduwara Bitrus Zakariya, to inspect the illegal connection.
Captain Enisuoh took time to conduct the NNPCL crew through the illegal pipeline to the point of connection to the point of discharging for export.
Chief Pondi told journalists that the illegality of siphoning crude oil from the pipeline had been on for about three years, adding that when it was first discovered, it was reported to Shell.
Shell has yet to respond to the allegation of ineptitude.
