MEDIA aide to former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Dr Laolu Akande, has described late governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, as a hero right from secondary school days.
“Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, 67, was a man of courage. His views reflected his boldness and a redoubtable commitment to the common good & public interest,” Akande stated in his X handle on Wednesday.
“He was a hero not only at the state and national levels where he held leadership positions, but also among us Loyola College Old boys.”
The Owo-born Senior Advocate of Nigeria reportedly breathed his last on Wednesday morning after a prolonged battle with cancer of the blood – leukaemia.
He’s been in and out of hospital home and abroad, but eventually lost the battle while in the care of state house doctors in Lagos.
