THE Covenant University (CU), Canaan Land, Sango Otta, Ogun State, has overtaken the premier university, the University of Ibadan, in the latest ranking of universities in Africa and Nigeria.
In Africa, CU ranked 16th while UI came 19th. among the first 20 led by the University of Cape Town as released by Times Higher Education World University Ranking for 2024.
Only CU and UI made the African list from Nigeria universities.
The Bishop David Oyedepo-led CU also dusted UI and other universities as the best ranked university in Nigeria, beating UI to the second position among the first 15.
