AUTHORITIES of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) have commenced an investigation into an alleged homosexuality meted on some teenagers by some youth pastors of the mission.
During an online interview with Stonix News, the handler of the social media handles of the General Overseer said he was shocked by all that has been happening on social media over the allegations.
He affirmed that the church has swiftly commenced a serious investigations into the claims.
“I’m also shocked by all that has been happening, but I have it on good authority that the church has started conducting serious investigations and, soon, anyone found culpable would be brought to book,” he disclosed.
Stonix News further requested whether he had reached out to the accused youth pastors, but said he hasn’t:
“No I didn’t, as I don’t have to.”
“Why? If I may ask,” Stonix News asked.
“The church is doing their investigation and I don’t work with their legal team…I only work with social media,” he replied.
“You know Pastor Ayo so well. Do you think he is capable of such?,” Stonix News reporter further asked.
“I don’t know what anyone is capable of. As much as you know someone, you don’t know what they are capable of. I don’t know if he did what he was accused of or not. I can only know when the church concludes their investigations,” he submitted.
Meanwhile, Stonix News also reached out to the son of the General Overseer, Pst. Leke Adeboye, who’s the leader of Pastors Seeds, and the personal assistant to AY Bello, one of the accused, but they were yet to respond as of the time of filing the report.
Stonix News reports that controversial blog, Gistlovershq, had, over the weekend, called out Pastor Ayorinde Bello of RCCG, accusing him of luring teenage boys in the church into homosexuality.
Gistlovershq, via an Instagram post, alleged that Pastor Ayo Bello, popularly known as AY Bello, alongside Pastor Leke Adeboye and other top youth pastors of the church, have negatively influenced male teenagers kept under their tutelage by parents.
According to the Gistlovershq’s post, a 20-year-old boy, who craved anonymity, said AY Bello “is a good leader who has impacted many young people, but has also influenced many into being gay.”
Gistlovershq further claimed that three victims, whose identities were also kept in the wraps, reached out via online messages, alleging that “AY Bello threatened them that if they spoke up, no one would believe them and he would deal with them more.”
Gistlovershq went on to upload screenshots of its conversations with some of the victims.
“I will be in this case until something is done about this case. It must not be swept under carpet. ADEBOYE, do something ooo,” Gistlovershq wrote.
On Sunday, Gistlovershq uploaded the contacts of AY Bello, Pst. Leke Adeboye, Pst. Oke Mayowa, and Mr Adeola Abolaji, the handler of the general overseer’s social media pages.
“This could have been anybody’s child. Lot of teens and youths are sodomized under the watch of @pastoradeboyeofficial and his son Leke. They saw all the activity but kept mute.
“In case they want to lie that they didn’t see it, let’s all bombard their phone and ring them massively. RCCG is a big enabler. Ayo Bello and his fellow Sodom and Gomorrah agents will not go scot free,” it wrote.
