Fubara Inaugurates Emergency Ambulance System

GOVERNOR Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has pledged to be more proactive in enhancing healthcare service delivery for all residents of the state.

The governor, who was represented by Rt Hon Victor Oko-Jumbo, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, inaugurated the Rivers State Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System at the Dental Maxillofacial, ENT, and Ophthalmology Hospital in Port Harcourt.

Governor Fubara said his government will transform Rivers to a state equipped with an adequate healthcare system and ensure that all residents have access to quality healthcare services, especially in emergencies.

Dr. Adaeze Oreh, the Commissioner for Health, explained that the newly inaugurated Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and the Ambulance System will provide life-saving healthcare to the people, promote swift response from healthcare givers, and serve as a fundamental link between emergencies and medical care.

Hon. Ezebunwo Ichemati, the CTC of Port Harcourt City, thanked the governor for being proactive about the healthcare system and reassured the governor of their continuous support.
