DETAILS have emerged on how the leader of a “one chance” robbery gang used a wheel spanner to attack a pregnant woman, causing her to have a miscarriage in Abuja, the Nigeria seat of power.
The woman was said to have been waiting for the fruit of the womb for eight years before the present pregnancy forcefully aborted by the violence meted on her by the robbery suspect.
The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made the disclosure on his X account (Twitter) on Sunday.
Adejobi wrote, “This is a ring leader of one “chance robbery” gang in Abuja. He used this wheel spanner to beat a pregnant woman (one chance victim) until she had a miscarriage.
“The woman had been waiting for a child for more than eight years.
“This is wickedness. Anyway, he’s having a trial in the court and has been arrested for the same offence again.”
According to the police image maker, the suspect, whose name and place of origin were shielded, “was arrested for one chance robbery and was charged to court.
“The court granted him bail, and he started “one chance” again while on bail before he was arrested by IRT men.
“He is always after ladies or women. So, women or ladies are to be careful.
“They are always three men in the car when they want to strike. Avoid them, and take note of their antics.”
