A pastor of a popular Pentecostal church, on Monday, butchered his 38-year-old wife to death over an alleged infidelity in Oron Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
According to reports, the 42-year-old suspect, Victor Okoh, was nabbed by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command following a distress call by shocked neighbours.

It was gathered that the suspect attacked his wife, Victoria Okoh with a machete, in what was described as an unprovoked and barbaric act.
It was reported that neighbours heard the woman’s screams and what sounded like a slaughter around 5:00a.m on that Monday.
When officers arrived at their residence around 5:20 a.m, they met a gruesome scene, the mutilated body of Mrs Okoh lying in front of their house and the suspect hiding in his ceiling.
The weapon used in the crime was recovered, and the body of the deceased deposited at the General Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, strongly condemned the act, vowing that justice will prevail.
He further warned against domestic violence and advised residents to seek peaceful means of settling disputes rather than resorting to bloodshed.
The Commissioner also encouraged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly to law enforcement authorities.
