A serving assistant pastor, one Evangelist Olalekan Ogundipe has allegedly killed and set ablaze his senior pastor, Evangelist Olagbaju Fadehan of the Grace of Comfort Parish, Obaloran Quarters, in Ile-Ife Osun state.
Reports said that Fadehan had an altercation with the suspect that turned physical After their service on Monday night.
A source said that the altercation led Ogundipe into hitting the victim with the church bell which led to his death immediately and heinously set his corpse ablaze.
“He hit him with nails on his skull and ears and set him ablaze afterwards,” the source said.
It was learnt that the incident happened a few days after Fadehan had reportedly threatened to relieve Ogundipe of his duties, following negative reports about the latter.
In response to the incident, the suspect has been handed over to police officers at Iloro Divisional Police Station, in Ile-Ife.
Spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, was yet to respond to enquiries at press time.
