FRESH details have emerged on how a rampaging gunmen hacked a 400-level Public Administration student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Edo State, Desmond Rukevwe Emuobonuvie aka Mayor, to death.
Diamond, said to be a Kegite chief, was reportedly attacked and shot three times in the face on Monday night, April 3, 2023 by suspected cultists.
Stonix News gathered that the tragedy occurred in one of the school’s hostels called Hall 3.
The gruesome murder has generated anxiety on the campus.
Meanwhile, UNIBEN management has condemned the brutal murder of the final-year student of the institution.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lilian Salami, in a statement, has urged students to remain calm, assuring that security agencies were working hard to fish out the killer’s with a view to bringing them to justice.
She assured the students and parents that such incident would not recur.
