TWO sons have reportedly clubbed their father to death in Delta for dating a side chick while his wife (their mother) was away in the United States.
The father clubbed to death by his sons was identified as Emekeme Joseph popularly known as Semikolo.
Besides being a deacon at the Living Faith Church also known as Winner’s Chapel in Sapele, the deceased was the Chairman of Covenant Suitesv and owned other chain of businesses, including petrol stations.
Sources said the hotelier fell ill after his sons, whose names were not disclosed, but said to be graduates of Covenant University, Sango Ota, Ogun State, assaulted him after catching him with a side chick.

The two sons
They allegedly caught their father with the side chick and demanded a million naira bribe if they must keep the misdemeanor from their mother who’s then away in the United States.
It was gathered that the man ignored the threat of divulging the illicit affair to his wife.
But the boys eventually informed their mother who reportedly got infuriated.
It was gathered that the following day, Semikolo (their father) alighted at a Coca Cola depot belonging to his wife and when the sons sighted him, they descended on him and hounded him out of the place.
Angered by the awkward treatment from his sons, Semikolo returned home and seized the keys of the cars of the sons.
The action, it was further gathered, drew the ire of the sons just as they further descended on him with blows and kicks.
It was further gathered that after the police arrived at the instance of the father, the boys went berserk and broke the head of one of the police men whose name and rank were not disclosed.
Thereafter, the boys were arrested and their father was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
He was said to have been referred to University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin, Edo State, when his condition was deteriorating.
In the midst of the imbroglio, wife of the deceased reportedly hurruesjy flew back to Nigeria to facilitate the release of her sons from police custody.
She was also said to have facilitated the discharge of her husband, said to be in coma, from UBTH against doctor’s advise.
Two weeks after the brutal attack, the entrepreneur died.
A veteran journalist, who did not disclose his identity, lamented the situation thus:
“Late Semekolo was not a weak father as they knew him, he was a tough and able dad to his children and even his wife, a no-nonsense and hard man, who probably became softened by domestic factors that are difficult to conjecture by the brutal behaviours of his sons and dragon-turned wife siding with his children to disobey him.
“What sin, even as a deacon, did an Urhobo man commit to warrant rebellious children to turn against their father on the need for a lover when their mother is enjoying herself in the overseas.
“It is a taboo and abominable for children to question their dad to the extent of raising hands to unleash blows and subsequent brutal attack on their dad, giving reason for not releasing his car keys to them.
“The family and the larger society are waiting for them at the burial.”
Contacted to confirm the incident, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, he said the story being bandied around that the two sons killed their father was untrue.
“The man has been sick since last year and died yesterday (Thursday) at the hospital.
“He was not beaten to death by anybody pls,” he noted.
