Despite receiving the payment, the abductors refused to release Zarah, instead making additional demands for four motorcycles and four cartons of engine oil.
After months of struggle, Zarah’s family managed to secure the requested items.
However, when they contacted the gang leader, they were informed that Zarah had already passed away and was buried two days prior.
Zarah, a 300-level student and the only daughter of her mother, spent four agonizing months in captivity before her tragic demise.
