ODU Announces Death Of Former General Secretary, Prince Obayemi

The National Secretariat of Ogori Descendants’ Union, ODU, has announced the death of one of the past General Secretary of the Union, Prince Ayo Obayemi, whose sad event occured Tuesday, 3rd May, 2022.

Stonix News reports This was coming just barely three days after the conclusion of the 2022 annual Ovia Osese Festival.

According to a statement signed by the National President, Engr. Gbemi Omole, Prince Obayemi retired from the Kogi State Town Planning, Urban and Regional Development Office.

He’s said to have served the Ogori community in different capacities.

Sending condolences to the members of his immediate, extended family and the entire Ogori community, ODU prayed for the peaceful repose of Obayemi’s soul.

“The National Secretariat of Ogori Descendants’ Union, ODU, regrets to announced the death of one of the past General Secretary of the Union, Prince Ayo Obayemi, whose sad event occured yesterday, 3rd May, 2022.

“Prince Ayo Obayemi served Ogori in different capacities as an illustration son of Ogori.

He retired, from Kogi State Town Planning, Urban and Regional development Office, Lokoja.

“It is our prayer that God grants the soul of our departed brother, peaceful repose, console and comfort the family and the entire community,” the president stated.

Meanwhile, one of late Obayemi’s close family member and friend, Prince Anthony Animashaun, described him, in his Facebook handle, as “my twin is gone. My brother and best friend, rest in peace.”

Another close associate of the deceased, Niyi Nuffiu, quipped: “My friend and brother Ayo Obayemi is gone to Glory. Rest in Perfect Peace. We’ll all miss your loving Spirit . Sun re oo.”
