Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

New look main gate
Ahead of Sunday February 27, 2022 Rain of Miracles crusade tagged: “Total Change of Story,” at 8:00a.m, Pastor Korede Komaiya-led The Master’s Place Int’l Church has commenced the total renovation of the decrepit Warri City Stadium, Warri, Delta State.

Bad roof before replacement
Other ministers of God including Gospel minstrels such as Chioma Jesus, Mercy Chinwo, Bidemi Olaoba, Testimony Jaga, The Rivers of Joy and The Rhythms will be ministering at the Super Sunday service that’ll witness an uncommon wave of creative signs, wonders, healings, deliverance and amazing transformations.

Replaced roof
But worried by the squalid state of the stadium, which has been in a state of disuse with falling roofs, filths dotting everywhere, lawn overgrown with weeds, unserviced air conditioners and generating plant, faded paint and the like, the church decided to, first, give the sports facility a life ahead of the actual spiritual event.

Repainted fence
Pastor Komaiya and his wife, Esther, leading the members with the philosophy of bequeathing excellence through the God of Excellence, decided to, first, give life back to the ‘lifeless’ sport facility before embarking on the spiritual exercise on Sunday.

Bad roof
Checks by on Wednesday revealed that a massive turnaround is still ongoing in every part of the stadium which has been abandoned to rot by the Delta State government for long.
Meanwhile, residents and sports enthusiasts in Warri, Delta State, have expressed great excitement, commending the Pastor Korede Komaiya-led The Master’s Place International Church, Effurun-Warri for carrying out a total maintenance work at the decrepit Warri City Stadium all alone.

Stonix News spoke with some of the residents living around Warri Stadium road and they described the philanthropic gesture as strange and very commendable, adding that other private organizations should emulate.
They, however, acknowledged that although the state government appeared to have abandoned the edifice to rot, it’s obvious that government alone cannot meet the aspirations of the citizens at all times.
One of the residents, Mr Kingdom Osiobe, who was sighted at the stadium where massive work is ongoing, hailed the church for the maintenance works.

Overgrown lawn
He disclosed that they were humbled when they learnt that it is a church planning for a crusade that is responsible for the massive, ongoing renovation work and not the government.
“I have not seen a church like Master’s Place International. You used your power. You used your money, everything in this stadium.
“You have not been here before, but the only time that you came, you broke records.

Bad section
“I give kudos to the church. This your programme, God will bless you all,” Osiobe prayed.
A regular user of the decrepit stadium who’s a sports enthusiast, Coach Jonathan a.k.a Gabi, also commended the church for the ongoing maintenance work.
“It’s a good thing that the church has done maintenance works on the stadium because government cannot do it all.

Bad main gate
Speaking with Stonix News, the site engineer, Engr. M. Emmanuel, who was seen supervising the renovation, confirmed that the maintenance work at the stadium was being initiated and footed by the church.
He noted that the church has given the stadium a facelift because of the knack for excellence by the founder of The Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya popularly known as Pastor KK.

New main gate
“We cannot be here and use the stadium like that. We needed to give life to the stadium and that’s the level of renovation you see going on.
“Here, we are doing painting, we are roofing the stadium. We are also clearing. If you noticed, this place is looking green again.
“We are clearing the grasses. People are also clearing everywhere. Everywhere was looking deplorable when we got here, but because of the level of excellence that we come with, the stadium is wearing a new life.

Ongoing painting
“We have also fixed the roof. We have fixed the A/Cs, we have fixed the VIP lounge, everything is now having a semblance of life because we give life wherever we go with “Rain of Miracles,” he noted.
Engr. Emmanuel further noted that over 10, 000 attendees are expected at the Super Sunday programme and shuttle buses that’ll convey people to and from every nook and cranny of Warri and environs freely will be made available.
While urging residents to bring their sick relatives to the healing programme on Sunday morning, Engr Emmanuel disclosed that the blind would see, the lame would walk, the barren would conceive, the deaf would hear, the captive would be delivered and the dead will rise, among other mind-blowing creative miracles that’d take place.
