ACCORDING to multiple sources, the Algeria Football Federation has offered Jose Peseiro a staggering $90,000 monthly salary to coach the Desert Foxes.
Stonix News reports that Jose Peseiro, alongside Carlos Querioz and Vladimir Petkovic are all lined up to succeed Djamel Belmadi as head coach of the Algerian national team.
According to Algerian news outlet, DZ football, the Algeria Federation are keen to have Peseiro as the country’s new head coach.
The Portuguese is said to be weighing his options after his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) expired at the end of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that the Super Eagles, led by Jose Peseiro, finished second at the tournament and are now ranked third best national team in Africa, behind Morocco and Senegal.
The 63-year-old earned $50,000 monthly during his time in charge of the Super Eagles.
Tunisia are also said to be interested in the former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach.
