Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has rescued car accident victims while on his way to Ondo State along the airport road on Monday morning in Abuja.
The incident was on the opposite lane of his convoy when he stopped to help bring out the trapped occupants of the car.
His security and medical teams joined in the effort to remove the victim from the mangled vehicle before being transported to hospital.
In a statement by his media aide, Laolu Akande, the VP wasn’t directly involved in any accident as erroneously reported by some online media.
“VP’S security and medical teams assisted in removing the victim from the crushed vehicle resulting from a somersault.
“And transported patient to Airforce base hospital. It was a solo accident.
“The car had summersalted on the opposite lane and was impaled on a tree,” Akande noted.
