OPERATIVES of the Nigeria Police, Delta State Command have arrested suspected leader of thieves stealing generating sets from people’s homes in Delta State.
Stonix News reports that some victims had lodged complaints to the command over the activities of hoodlums who break into people’s houses and steal their generating set.

The recovered generating set
The Commissioner of Police, Delta State, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, therefore, issued a marching order to DPOs especially within the Asaba metropolis to fish out the perpetrators or risk removal.
The marching order yielded results as the DPO GRA swiftly gathered an intelligence that led to the arrest of one Titus Sunday, aged 49yrs, in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital.
The suspect was said to have confessed to be part of the syndicate that specializes in stealing generating sets within the Asaba metropolis.

Recovered generating sets
He reportedly led police operatives to Awka, the Anambra State capital where one 220KVA generating set stolen along Mariam Babangida way Asaba was recovered.
In a statement by Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, the “suspect on Sunday 29/01/2023 also led operatives to their hideout in Asaba, and seven other suspected stolen sound-proof generating sets were also recovered.”
He added efforts to arrest other members of the syndicate were ongoing.
