OPERATIVES of the Delta State Police Command have killed and arrested criminal suspects and also rescued a kidnapped victim in Delta State.
The dead suspect who was involved in the robbery and killing of one Efe Peter met his Waterloo when he and his gang were raided by Owvian-Aladja police operatives on Monday, January 16, 2023.
Arrested Suspect
According to a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, the suspect and his gang murdered Efe Peter and made away with his vehicle at Ujevwu junction in Udu Local Government Area.
The suspect was killed in a gun duel with the police at Warri Sapele road in an attempt to escape.
It was stated that while guns and cartridges were recovered from the suspect, his gang members are still on the run.
The statement also added that some operatives while on a stop and search duty along Ughelli/Patani expressway received a tip-off about a kidnap operation on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

With the help of the locals of the community, the police pursued the suspects to Patani Road, where they engaged in an accident after driving carelessly when they realized the police were closing in on them.
The police arrested one of the suspects, Lucky Owofasa rescued the kidnapped victim, and also recovered a cut-to-size locally made gun, three live cartridges were recovered from him while others escaped.
