OPERATIVES of the Delta State Police Command, last Monday, October 31, 2022, arrested a 58-year-old man and nine other suspected arm manufacturers in Delta.

The arms recovered
The arrest of the 58-year-old, identified as Peter Okolie and his gang, was carried out by the State Anti-Cult Unit (SACU) on the order of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali after their hideout was made known.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, a raid was carried out by SP Christopher Igbaji and the (SACU) team.
After the raid, 42 locally-made single barrel guns, six double barrel guns, three pump action guns, two filing machines, and a tool box containing fabricated materials and work tools were recovered from the hideout in Emuhu Community, Ika North-East.
The Commissioner of Police, while commending the team for a job well done, assured residents of the area of the police commitment to fighting criminality and ensuring their safety.
