ABUJA — The Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has fixed 28–30 April 2026 for the written examination for applicants seeking enlistment as Police Constables, covering both General Duty and Specialist roles.
The test will take place at designated centres across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to an official press release, only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening are eligible to sit for the examination.
Qualified applicants have been directed to log on to www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from Friday, 24 April 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Card, which will indicate the specific date, time, and venue of their test.
Authorities have outlined the following compulsory items for the exam day:
· A pen
· National Identification Number (NIN) Slip from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), bearing a clear photograph
· Printed Examination Invitation Card
· Dress code: white shorts, white T‑shirt, and white canvas
In a strongly worded warning, the Police Service Commission reiterated that the entire recruitment process is completely free of charge. The Commission cautioned that any form of job racketeering, scams, or financial inducement would be met with the full force of the law.
