NIGERIAN singer, Peter Okoye (Mr P) of the popular P-Square, has broken the silence and addressed the allegations surrounding the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which involved his blood brothers, Paul and Jude Okoye.

According to reports, in June, the war between the twin brothers began after a joint fund was alleged to have been diverted by their elder brother, Jude Okoye, who was then the executive director of their record label.

Mr P revealed that he never filed a petition against his twin brother, Paul Okoye, but did file one against Jude over an alleged financial misappropriation.

Stonix News recalls that the twin brothers, before now, were reunited a couple of months ago after years of long rift which broke up the P-Square group.

During the previous conflict, which was believed by many Nigerians to have been influenced by their wives, the entertainment industry watched from afar as the popular R&B duo struggled in the music industry as solo artists.

Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, granted many interviews where he called out and “disrespected” his twin brother, Peter Okoye (Mr P).

Their dispute, however, was resolved by some family relatives after which the duo came back together as P-Square.

In February last year, during the 2023 General Elections campaign, Peter and Paul Okoye, as P-square, as a way of endorsing Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi, organized a rally in Lagos State where they left the crowd electrified by their performance.

Their reunion was, however, cut short after Rudeboy told City FM in Lagos how Peter utilized the EFCC to arrest him and Jude.

Beside the financial allegations, Rudeboy also alleged that he has been the brain behind all their hit songs in the past years, adding that “99%” of their successes as P-Square was his ideas and creativity both as the song writer and singer.

Meanwhile, Peter, on Monday, took to his social media handles to debunk the claims made by his identical brother. He said he never petitioned the EFCC against Paul.

Mr P said he filed the petition after discovering that millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of Naira were being diverted into a secret company’s account.

He identified the secret company as Northside Music, which, unknown to him, was also registered under their own company, Northside Entertainment.

In his social media post, Mr P also stated that the EFCC probe revealed that Jude’s covert entity, had, for several years, been collecting Northside Entertainment’s royalties without his knowledge.

He said during questioning, Jude mentioned Paul’s name which made the EFCC to invite his twin brother.

The conflict in the Okoye’s family has left the Nigerian entertainment industry in distress.

Following Mr P’s emotional “Letter To My Brother” that was posted on his official handles, fans have, since then, been calling out Jude for his involvement in the rift between the duo.
