The New Year has started on a bad note for 20-year-old barber, Lucky Diri, in Sagbama community, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, as he’s alleged to have stabbed to death a 38-year-old motorcycle rider, Emeka Christian Udo.
The incident occurred at about 2:00p.m when the barber, Lucky Diri, allegedly stabbed Emeka Christian Udo, the motorcycle rider with a screw driver, on his left ribs.
The duo were said to have had what was described as a “minor misunderstanding,” before the incident took a deadly dimension.
The injured victim was immediately rushed to Sagbama General Hospital, where he died while receiving medical attention.
The killer-suspect has been subsequently arrested and detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department for further interrogation.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bayelsa State Command, SP Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said “CP Ben Nebolisa Okolo has ordered for discreet investigation and upon conclusion the case will be charged to court.”
