Lyle has been declared wanted for attempted homicide, and may be driving a 2005 red Volvo XC90 with Colorado license plate BSCW10.

Following the shooting, the victims who sustained gunshot injuries have been hospitalised.

The school management identified them as: Eric Sinclair, who remains in serious condition, and Jerald Mason, who is in a good condition.

Stonix News recalled that last month, East High School students went to a city council meeting to call for action on school safety and gun violence after a student, 16, was fatally shot.

The school authority, on Wednesday, said the school will not be closed for the rest of this week, adding that the building will now have two armed officers present through the end of the school year.
