Suspected herdmen have invaded the farm of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, at the Jabata area of Surulere Local Government Area.
The farm supervisor, identified as Christopher Bakare, was said to have been abducted and whisked away to an unknown destination.
Stonix News gathered that the invasion lasted for several hours.
A family source said the invaders were suspected herdsmen, adding that the invasion was not the first time it would happen in the area.
The source added that people living in the neighbourhood have become endangered species over time.
He added that the family has established contact with the suspected kidnappers.
According to him, they are demanding N100m ransom before the release of the captives.
However, after much haggling, the gunmen are said to have reduced the ransom to N5 million.
The victim, a native of Gbongan in Osun State, was employed to work as supervisor on the farm, barely four years ago.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Adewale Osifeso, said, the incident was under investigation and close monitoring.
