TWO persons have been confirmed dead in a fuel-laden tanker explosion that rocked Agbor, in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State on Sunday afternoon.
The Delta State Police Command said two persons died in the tanker explosion.
Several houses, cars and other property were consumed when the tanker fell and exploded while the driver was attempting to make a turn on the Old Lagos/Asaba Road, Agbor.

Meanwhile, firemen from both Delta State and federal authorities were mobilised to the scene.
Director of the state fire services, Eugene Oziwele, who confirmed the story, however, said the casualties were many.
He added that firemen from Asaba joined those in Agbor with others from the federal fire service to put off the raging inferno.
In a terse message to journalists on Sunday, the spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, said the explosion claimed the lives of two persons.
He went further to confirm that the tanker was laden with diesel and not petrol as widely circulated.
Victims of the explosion were a man and a woman who lost their lives in the incident.
Edafe added that the tanker fell while the driver was trying to avoid ramming a vehicle.
