THE Joint Security Forces have rescued LT PP Johnson who was abducted by suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its military outfit, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).
Lt PP Johnson was abducted on Boxing Day, December 26, 2022, and was moved to a forest bordering Enugu State and Ihube Okigwe LGA in Imo State.
The joint military forces also arrested the suspected IPOB/ESN members who allegedly kidnapped the female military officer.
Stonix News gathered that the Joint Security Forces carried out the rescue operation at about 14:20hrs on Thursday December 29, 2022.
Meanwhile, in its statement making the round, the Nigeria Police also related the development thus:
“At about 1420hrs on 29 Dec 22, POLICE OPERATIVES Rescued Lt PP Johnson who was abducted by gunmen and taken to a forest bordering Enugu State and Ihube in Okigwe LGA Imo State on 26 Dec 22.
“The master minder of the kidnap has also been Arrested by Security POLICE OPERATIVES while efforts are ongoing to arrest the others.
“The situation is still being monitored at the moment. Video attached.”
