6 Missing People May Have Been Lured Into Cult, Officials Reveal

Micheal Chukwuebuka, Reporting

SIX people in Missouri who were reported missing in August 2023, according to officials, are believed to have been lured into a cult led by a convicted child molester.

According to the police St. Louis suburb of Berkeley, the cult is led by Rashad Jamal, who, as of when filing this report, is serving an 18-year prison sentence in Georgia after he was convicted in August of one count of child molestation and one count of cruelty to children.

Berkeley Police Maj. Steve Runge told our source that investigators believe the missing six have become followers of Jamal, a former rapper-turned-online guru who operates what he calls the University of Cosmic Intelligence.

Shelita Gibson, whose daughter and grandson are among the missing, expressed her distress to newsmen, saying would like to know their conditions so she can have a good night’s sleep:

“I would like to know that they’re OK so that I can get a good night’s sleep. I would like to know they’re not hungry, they’re not cod, that no one is making her do things that she would have to pay for in the long run.”

Stonix News reports that Gibson’s 26-year-old daughter, Gerielle German, and grandson, Ashton Mitchell, 3, were last seen with four other missing people at a Quality Inn near St. Louis Lambert Intentional Airport in August.

Other four missing persons are: Ma’Kayla Wickerson, 25, and her 3-year-old daughter, Malaiyah; Naaman Williams, 29, and 23-year-old Mikayla Thompson.

According to authorities, they had been living in a rented house in Berkeley before they disappeared.

However, Jamal has denied knowing the six missing persons.

“I am pretty sure I have never met these people.

“I get on my phone and I give a lecture. I go live, and then I get off the phone.

“I do not know the people that are in my live stream. It’s too many people,” Jamal told reporters.
