A 6-month-old baby girl succumbed to injuries sustained in a dog attack in Baytown on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at The Inverness Gardens Apartments, where police responded to a distress call around 4 p.m.
Upon arrival, Stonix News gathered that officers found the infant severely injured and rushed her to the hospital.
Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead the following day.

Authorities removed two dogs from the apartment complex, which belonged to the baby’s parents.
Details surrounding the attack, as of press time, remained scarce, as police had yet to confirm the breed of dog involved or the events leading up to the incident. No arrests had also been made, and no charges had been filed at this time.
A neighbor, Ken Sheltoe, witnessed the aftermath of the attack and expressed his shock and sadness. “It’s heartbreaking to see a child injured like that,” he said.
The case remains under investigation by the Baytown Police Department.
