7 Charged With Assault On 2 Officers

THE Manhattan DA announced Thursday that seven people have been indicted in connection with the assault on two New York City police officers.

According to reports, the assault, which was caught on camera, occured January 27 near Times Square as officers were trying to take a person into custody.

In the viral video captured by surveillance camera, Yohenry Brito, in a yellow jacket was seen wrestling with the officers on the ground.

Prior to the incident, Stonix News learnt that Brito had been indicted and is being held on charges of assault, obstruction and evidence tampering.

Four others were arrested last week and their identities have been revealed: Kelvin Arocha, Wilson Juarez, Yorman Reveron and Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel.

They have all been charged with assault and obstructing governmental administration.

At a press conference Thursday afternoon, District Attorney Alvin Bragg said:

“This assault sickens me and outrages me. The behavior is despicable.”

According to the DA’s office, two others whose identities were not released have also been indicted.

One suspect accused of assault, Jhoan Boada, has not been indicated yet as the investigation continues.

Our source, ABC News, reported that an additional three suspects who were allegedly involved in the attack have not been identified or apprehended.
