No fewer than six persons have been confirmed dead in a road accident that occured on Sunday morning along Obajana-Oshokosho-Lokoja road.
This was confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state.
The corps said the accident involved two vehicles, a commercial Toyota Hiace, ash colour with registration number KTN04YX and a DAF Truck Red colour with registration number QAB 961 XA.
The statement issued by the command further stated that 31 persons were involved in the accident which occurred at about 6:00 a.m.
In the crash, 17 people were injured, eight persons were injury free, while 16 persons were confirmed dead.
The Command added that one of the vehicles lost control during the accident.
It disclosed that rescue mission was conducted by members of FRSC in conjunction with the Nigerian Police from Obajana Division and Dangote Fire Service.
The victims were taken to Fisayo Hospital, Obajana while the bodies of six persons were deposited at Sariki Hausa of Obajana.
