This is coming a few weeks after approval from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for Telecommunication operators to jack up tariffs by 50 per cent for the first time in 11 years.
The decision was propelled by the rising operational costs confronting telco companies which forced adjustments across the industry.
