A 25-year-old man, Godsgift Uweghwerhen, has flogged his daughter to death after seeing her emerging from a neighbour’s room.
The incident occurred at embattled Aladja community, in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Consequently, Uweghwerhen has been arrested for prosecution.
Stonix News gathered that Uweghwerhen was at home with his family members and neighbours when he saw his daughter coming out of the room of one of his neighbours.
He became agree by his daughter’s action, pounced on her and reportedly used the cane to inflicting body injuries on her.
The beater reportedly fled from home after realising that he had killed her daughter with his own hands.
Upon his disappearance, members of the vigilantes group in the area went after him, got him arrested at Ubogo community and handed him over to policemen in Ovwian/Aladja Division.
When contacted, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the killing.
