Gunmen Abduct Naval Officer In Kogi, Demand N3m

Gunmen have abducted an Abuja-based officer of the Naval Headquarters, Musa Lawal with enlistment no. X12775 ABRP3.

He was kidnapped in Kogi State by some heavily-armed men numbering five, Stonix News gathered.

They were said to have invaded his residence located behind Post Flood Housing Estate, Lokoja at about 8:00 p.m on Monday.

The gunmen forced themselves into his house and destroyed his car before abducting him.

Stonix News learnt that the officer was supposed to return to his station on Tuesday before he was abducted.

Wife of the kidnapped naval officer, Mrs Juliana Musa, said the kidnappers had reached out to the family an hour after the kidnap, demanding N3 million ransom.

Mrs Musa further said her husband was bleeding from one his hands which suffered a cut while he was being whisked away into the dark night.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kogi State Command, SP Williams Ayah, said the command was unaware of the kidnap.
